![]() ![]() ![]() Guardians make decisions and take actions regarding the well being of the ward. ![]() An emergency guardian may initially be appointed for 72 hours and may not last longer than an additional 30 days.This is true for both minor and adult guardianship. A guardianship is a legal proceeding in the circuit court in which a guardian exercises the legal rights of an incapacitated person, minor, voluntary wards, or developmentally disabled individuals. There are different types of temporary guardianship in Ohio including interim and emergency.
